My visual work has been influenced by place, the natural world, and it’s inhabitants. I’m drawn to found objects, recycled materials, and things that are “left behind” whether they be man made or natural objects. Working intuitively, I let colors and materials lead my expression and enjoy sourcing materials, while not being bound to one particular medium. I’m interested in creating a partnership with the environment, responding to it, not superimposing my expression on it to help awaken us to a deeper appreciation of ourselves and the world in which we live. I see this as a sacred act of creation.
